Edibles to Try Over the Holidays

The UN just dealt a swift blow to cannabis naysayers and skeptics, as well as the stigmas attached to it. Over the course of many years, the stigmas attached to cannabis-use have slowly deteriorated. Not only is it a fun pastime, but it's also recognized as an efficacious medical treatment for many medical conditions.

With the scientific and anecdotal evidence backing cannabis's safety, it's a great time to try it out. Regardless of whether you're a pot enthusiast or a complete newbie, take Christmas and New Years' to celebrate with some cannabis edibles. Here's what they are and some recipes to try out.

What Are Edibles?

Edibles are one way to consume edibles, and they refer to food infused or laced with THC. THC is the main psychoactive compound in cannabis; it's the cannabinoid primarily responsible for the high you feel. Edibles infused with cannabis reach the brain through the digestive tract.

Starting with edibles is probably not the smartest idea because edibles generate a significantly stronger high than other consumption methods. This is because edibles are broken down into metabolites, and one of those metabolites is 11-OH-THC. This metabolite is up to four times as psychoactive as THC, leading to significantly stronger highs.

Recipes

Canna-butter: Since butter is in so many foods, this is a great way to infuse many different foods with cannabis. Start by melting butter in a saucepan (add water to prevent burning) and adding ground weed. Leave it to simmer for some hours, and then strain the butter into a container. Refrigerate, and voila: you have cannabis butter!

Canna-Oil: Once again, since oil is a base for most food, it's a convenient way to infuse cannabis into your meal. Mix two cups of oil and an ounce of ground weed. Heat the mixture for around six hours (don't let it boil). You can add some water again to keep it from burning. Once done, strain the oil.

Bud Brownies: Brownies are synonymous with edibles, so they needed a place in the list. You can even use the above canna-oil to make the brownies. Take your brownie mix, eggs, water, and the canna-oil, and mix them. Bake the mix at 330 degrees after lining it on a cookie sheet.

If you're just starting out with weed (or even if you're seasoned), you could try out inhalants before you progress to edibles. For rolling paper, cheap glass pipes, water bongs, and more for sale online, visit our store at Bong Outlet.
